TREAT DAD TO A SUPERHERO FATHER’S DAY KEEPSAKE HE WILL LOVE!
Father’s Day is just a week away and we have to admit, it’s one of our favorite holidays! It’s a day we can show the dads in our lives really how much we care and appreciate all they do for us and our little ones! We’re showing you our easiest DIY yet, even the little ones can join in and help! In just a few easy steps you’ll have an adorable, handmade gift that’s fitting for all the fathers in your life.
MATERIALS:
- 6×6 Shadow Box – you can find this at your local craft store. Here is the exact one we used that you can purchase online.
- Glue Gun and Glue Sticks
- Wooden Tiles ‘Scrabble Style’ – these can also be found at your local craft store. Here are the exact ones we used that you can purchase online.
- Your Favorite Lego Superheroes – we purchased ours at Walmart. You can also purchase them here.
To begin working, open up the shadow box and remove the board. Then, organize the letters into the phrase you would like to use and carefully measure it out onto your shadow box board. You don’t have to use this particular phrase, but this is the one we felt fit the best. Here are some other fun phrases you can use:
My Daddy is my Hero.
My Dad will always be my Hero.
I have a Hero, I call him Dad.
Start gluing your little heart out! Make sure to only use a pea-sized dot on each letter and superhero to ensure the glue doesn’t seep from the sides.
Keep the ruler close so you can double-check your measurements as you’re gluing.
Keep gluing!
…just keep gluing.
After you’re done gluing, place the board back into the shadow box and carefully close it.
Wah-lah! The best part about this fun craft? It takes less than 20 minutes from start to finish and makes for great decor in the home.
