Indoor Build-a-Snowman Kit

There’s no better way to commemorate the season than building a snowman! However, you may live in a place with no snow, or you may live somewhere too cold for your little ones to go outside. In today’s blog post, we’ll show you how you can build an indoor snowman with your kids. It doesn’t require any snow, just craft foam and some water!

Supplies

Craft foam
Scissors
Paintbrush
Water

Instructions

The only preparation required for this activity is gathering the supplies and cutting out the shapes for your snowman. We found all of the supplies at our local Walmart, which made this activity super budget-friendly!

When cutting out your shapes, we suggest starting with the three base circles of your snowman. This makes it easier to gauge what sizes you need for the rest of the pieces. We traced a large bowl for the two bottom circles and a smaller bowl for the head.

After cutting out the base pieces, you can make a hat, scarf, buttons, eyes, a carrot nose, stick arms, and whatever else you want! Get creative and let your little one help with the design.

Once you’ve created all of your shapes, have your child apply water to the back of the foam with a paintbrush. The water allows the foam pieces to stick to each other as well as smooth, hard surfaces like a window or a bathtub wall!

That’s it! Now your little one can build and rebuild their snowman to their heart’s content.
