Take your kid’s pencils from boring to beautiful in less than 10 minutes with our Washi Tape DIY! We have to admit, washi tape is pretty addicting. If we could decorate all our kids school supplies in washi tape, we would! Adding washi tape can make just about anything look better and these DIY pencils are no exception. It’s so easy to dress one up and all the kids at school will be wondering where your kids got those ridiculously cute pencils.

Here’s what you’ll need:
Washi tape, assorted colors that complement each other
Scissors or exacto knife
No. 2 pencils
Cutting board

Directions:
1.Cut a piece of tape the length of your pencil- from the metal to the pointy end.
2. Line up the edge of the tape with the bottom the pencil. Then, line up the pencil in the center of the tape.
3. Roll the ends of the Washi tape tightly on the pencil, being careful not to create air bubbles or wrinkles.
4. Repeat on opposite side of pencil so washi tape goes all the way around.
