School is just about here and what better way to get in the school spirit than a Back to School craft? We know when lunch times hits for our kids, they could use a little pick me up to get them through the rest of the day rather than just boring food lying in a lunchbox!
With the help of some chalkboard paint and vinyl letters, you can create a ridiculously cute and personalized lunch box that is guaranteed to put a smile on their face!
Here’s what you’ll need:
Plain Metal Lunchbox
Chalkboard Paint
Chalk
Foam Paint Brush
Painters Tape
Vinyl Letters

Start by taping off the edges of your lunchbox and painting on your chalkboard. Paint first coat horizontally and let dry then paint another coat vertically and let dry. Repeat if you feel it needs another coat.
While the chalkboard is drying, add your child’s name on the outside of the lunchbox in fun vinyl letters. You can purchase the exact letters we used here.
When the chalk paint is just about dry, peel off the tape. Wait to write on the chalkboard for at least 24 hours so the paint can fully dry.
Happy Back to School!
