Even the grumpiest Grinch can’t resist one of these Christmas cake cookies! One bite and their heart will triple in size! Ingredients
1 box French vanilla cake mix
1/2 c. vegetable oil
2 eggs
1-2 drops green food coloring
Confectioners sugar, as needed
Heart-shaped sprinkles
Yields: 24 cookies
Directions
1) Preheat the oven to 350° F.
2) Add dry cake mix, oil, eggs, and food coloring to a mixing bowl.
3) Using a hand mixer, cream the ingredients together until well combined.
4) Pour some confectioners sugar on a sheet of parchment paper. Roll a tablespoon of dough into a ball and coat it in the confectioners sugar.
5) Place dough 2 inches apart on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Press the heart-shaped sprinkles into the center of each ball.
6) Bake in the oven for 8 – 10 minutes until set. Be careful not to brown the cookies!
7) Let the cookies cool 3 – 5 minutes before eating.
